New Tax Season

Signed all my papers today to do another tax season....what have I done???

Not that they went thru, guess internet at home way too slow...

Spending the afternoon listening to rain on the roof, wind in the trees and watching golf from Valhala...Tiger needs to withdraw and go home, pain is way too obvious...

July almost over!!!

July is almost over, school will be starting in a couple weeks and the children are so looking forward to it.....not.

Not much flying lately, when the weather is right, have too much on my plate to get out, but Prism is always set and ready for a spin in the wild blue yonder...

As the days fly by maybe one will be good for flying....miss it...

Wonderful Weekend

No chance to fly, but an awesome weekend with some wonderful women on Fort Myers Beach, exhausted but thankful for the opportunity.

Flying today...

It always amazes me how time flies...

Last time was 3 days after tax season was over, I think today was the first flight since then...

After getting Prism back together we flew for a little while, what a great time...

Looking forward to this week end at Fort Myers Beach and getting to fly there...

Tax season over...

Tax season is finally over and now kite flying can become a priority once again....after all of my other responsibilities....

Got to fly a couple times this week and boy was that fun. The wind was good and the companionship was great too. My Prism is just the right kite to fly in the conditions we had this past week, not a lot of wind but just enough to get in the air and stay there. Coming down was a bit of a challenge a couple of times, she didn't want to.....

So, once again we'll try to be flying regularly and enjoying all of it...

Windy and flying

Today was soooo windy, the sky was so blue and pretty cloudless, not like the pic but it was great. A one point I thought I might get to fly away....So much fun!!!

No flying recently

I am sorry to say it has been awhile since I have been able to fly any of my kites, but in about 7 days, 10 hours, 21 minutes and 10, 9' 8 seconds I will be done with tax season again...and back to flying. Today looks like it may be a good day to fly some...so we'll see.

Just wanted to touch base and let all know that flying is not at an end....

Today's flight...

Today was a fantastic day to fly, you probably can't tell but those two little dots under the sun are actually kites, Stowaway was a little difficult to get in the air, but once up he was awesome. The wind was right into the sun. The sky was absolutely cloudless and a beautiful, pilots would call it "severe clear". Near the bottom is another kite, that one is a pocket kite.

No flying last few days....

I've not been able to fly the last few days, one day was just too windy, and another had chores to do so didn't get to fly then either. Its sad when chores out-way the flying.
I have been looking to get a new kite, really wanting to see if I can find a Prism Triad....that was so much fun, altho' they seem to be pretty fragile. The one I flew recently is in need of repairs already....not sure if that is a good thing or not, but what are you gonna do, flying is fun and repairs are inevitable.
Tomorrow is another day, maybe it will be good enough in the morning to fly, have to do those pesky taxes in the afternoon.

St Patty's Day

Today was sooo windy but we flew anyway.  Little Kittie Kittie got to go up, what a trip. She dove and danced all over the sky, with the cloud cover it made for a nice back drop. This is Kittie Kittie on a little calmer day. She is a pocket kite I keep in my purse, she was on about 150 feet of line today and we enjoyed every minute.

Yesterday I got to fly a new kite for me, it was a box kite, it's a Prism Triad, a triangle box kite. What a fun kite to fly. It does dips and rolls and flies upright and upside down, what a good time that was. I can't wait to get one of those. I was afraid it was too windy to fly yesterday but it was great, so far March is a great month to fly. Haven't been able to fly very often, but the days I have, have been really great.

Good week...

Got to fly a couple times this week, once with Kittie Kittie and once with Delta, poor Delta got his string stuck in a tree, we got it out without any damage. 

Wanted to fly some today but the wind was too high to fly safely. Hopefully the Ides of March are upon us but not too big.

Today was a bust...

I've tried to fly the last couple of days with no luck, it would be really nice to have a little breeze that would stay and keep Kittie - Kittie aloft for a little while. Maybe tomorrow will be better, altho' it is a work day, Holly and I should be able to get out a little while  during our lunch time...looking forward to it...

Way too many days...

Oh my, it's been way too many days since I've made any entries here, where do they go?

Flew on Wednesday this week with my friend and her friend Steve, we had a great time, I flew Delta and S flew a pocket kite H had brought for him. It was a lot like my Kittie Kittie pocket kite but has no picture on it.

Doesn't look like today is going to be a good day unless it picks up some. May try a little later.   I hope to get to fly more this week end. It is so much fun, too bad Mother Nature doesn't  give us a little more wind on a daily basis.

Today was very little wind....

Today had very little wind, actually it came and went, I have decided that flying in the morning is not a good time. After noon the wind seems to pick up and is a much better time to fly. I took Chicken Little out today for the first time, she was up for a couple minutes and then would land on the ground. A new wind would come up and she would be off, but as soon as the wind died she was down again.

Tomorrow is Church day so flying will be a must and it should be better in the afternoon.

Yesterday Awesome!!!

Yesterday was an awesome day, got to fly at lunch and HV and I were able to get Stow and Stow in the air for a little while. The odd picture is of my new gloves, let me say that these are so nice to use instead of my little pair, no worries about string cuting my fingers to shreds, they are so nice, thank you again HV.  Today is a little iffy for flying but when I'm done here I am going to try. I think Chicken Little needs some time in the air. Let's see how it goes. Will let you know later.

Saturday, great day to fly...

Today was a good day to fly. 

Got Kittie Kittie to fly, she is a very active kite in the wind and lands softly when she crashes, but then goes back up very quickly, we had a good time.

Took Cranie out for a little bit, she is a little more difficult to keep in the air, did find something wrong, Cranie is in kite hospital, she has a broken leg (spar). Will have to get that replaced and get it back in her leg. She will probably be down for a little bit. 

Everyone is put away for now and resting in there little homes. Wind has calmed down for now maybe will go out again later. Saturday was a good day.

Time Flies - no pun intended...

Well, well, well, time flies when you're having fun, how old is that saying? It appears I have not posted since the 6th, that doesn't seem right but could beeee....

Went to the Shell Factory on Saturday and bought a new kite, one I can carry in my purse or even in my pocket, I haven't been able to get it in the air yet, but still trying. Was able to fly on Monday and had a great time, HV and I got out for a little while and then we had to go back to work....Tuesday I had to do taxes for people and didn't get out early enough to fly, did try before work and was able to get Cranie up for a few minutes, but due to the crashes to the ground she needed to be repaired, (got to do that today). Wednesday didn't get to fly at all, it was my birthday and got taken out to lunch by the staff in the office at Church and then dinner and then choir practice, no go....Thursday we spent the day at the hospital, my sister was having chest pains and waited all day for tests and results, it was probably too cold and too windy anyway. (She is home and found her stress tests to be normal).  Today there was very little wind and I had a "birds nest" to un-do and repairs to be done. Cranie is repaired and ready to fly.

On Wednesday I got 3 kite bags for my birthday as well as gloves to protect my hands, I put all my kites in the bags today as well, now everyone has a home. The back of the Jeep is now nice and  clean and no more kites strewn everywhere.

Tomorrow should be a good day to fly, it shouldn't be too cold and hopefully there will be some wind.
